Born on March 29th, 1985. She was born in Roswell New Mexican. Gerina Michelle Mendoza is her given name. Gerina Stevenson is a native of Mexico to Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. She is American and comes from a Mexican-American background. Her passion for sports was born as a child. Gerina began to play golf when she was just 15 years old. Gerina was a graduate of Goddard High School. When she was in high school, she won at the New Mexico state golf tournament. Her volleyball skills were also acknowledged at the national stage. She attended an institution called the University of Texas in 2003. As a senior, she was a winner in each tournament in which she participated. While in her university career, she was crowned Conference USA individual champion player of the year and UTEP Female Athlete Of The Year.
